Do I actually think these questions will make any difference in the enacted policies? No. Politicians will do what they want once they are elected. Voting is only an effort to minimize the risk of electing a complete idiot.

Negative Campaigning
Obama used to champion his morality as a positive campaigner but lately all I hear is advertisements criticizing the McCain campaign. One of the reasons I voted for Obama was his new style of politics in contast to frequent negative advertisements from Hillary. Now that Obama has won the nomination I see a slow morph into the usual way of politics. Perhaps he must play by the current rules of negative campaigns and big money before he can enter the Presidency and change the system. I will give him the benefit of the doubt that if he does not criticize McCain then traditional political rhetoric will overshadow McCain’s policy faults. However, I would like to see a criticism of McCain’s issues rather than a personal attack on his finances and home ownership
